How To Report a Suspicious Email
Inky is a powerful email security platform that helps protect from phishing, spam, and other malicious emails. One of its most useful features is the “Report This Email” button, which allows users to quickly flag suspicious messages directly from Microsoft Outlook.
Whether you're using Outlook on the desktop or web, here’s how to report an email using Inky:
📌 Step-by-Step Guide
✅ Step 1: Open the Suspicious Email
Launch Microsoft Outlook.
Navigate to your Inbox and click on the email you want to report.
DO NOT CLICK ANY LINKS IN A SUSPICIOUS EMAIL OR DOWNLOAD ANY ATTACHMENTS
✅ Step 2: Locate the “Report This Email” Button
look for the Inky icon or a button labeled “Report This Email”.

On desktop, it’s usually toward the top of the Email.
Click “Report This Email”
Click the “Report This Email” button.
A new Browser Tab/Window will open.
✅ Step 3: Confirm the Report
Click “Safe” or “Spam”, or "Phishing"
Feel free to add any comments then click Submit.

The email will be sent to our security team and/or Inky’s analysis system for review.
🧠 Tips & Best Practices
Only report emails that seem suspicious—such as phishing attempts, unexpected attachments, or spoofed senders.
Don’t forward suspicious emails manually—use the Inky button to ensure proper tracking and analysis.
If you accidentally report an email, contact the IT or security team to clarify.
